“We Ain’t Buying It” Boycotts
November 28, 2025 – December 1, 2025
BLACK FRIDAY NOVEMBER 28 through CYBER MONDAY DECEMBER 1 “WE AIN’T BUYING IT” an Economic Pressure Campaign, sponsored by a coalition of groups including Indivisible, calls on consumers to boycott Target, Amazon, and Home Depot, in addition to Starbucks.
The focus is on three brands that are among the biggest corporations trying to profit by enabling Trump. We’re Not Buying from Target for dismantling DEI, Amazon for colluding with the administration, and Home Depot for working with ICE. Instead of fighting back and supporting the very people who put money in their pockets, corporations and retailers have bowed at Trump’s feet. We cannot continue to give our money to these corporations and not hold them to account. We are moving into beginning to use our economic power.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are two of the biggest shopping days of the year, with sales expected to reach $80 billion. By withholding our support during one of the most important weekends of their year, we’ll make it clear that there’s a price to pay for enabling authoritarianism. They can’t keep cashing in on working people and pretending their hands are tied. Our cowardly corporate leaders need a reminder that real power belongs to the people.
Instead of spending dollars at the targeted companies, the “We Ain’t Buying It” campaign is asking consumers to “shop small, local, or with businesses affirming our humanity.” The campaign is also asking the public to sign its pledge to be a “conscious consumer” and amplify its mission by spreading the word in their communities and online.
