While people debate the possibilities of reviving the local chapter, there are calls to figure our what can we do NOW. This is a letter posted by Dina Coe on the MoCo Indivisible Facebook group with some edits by group members and Kurt Griffith. Senators Justice & Capito & Representative Moore are a good place to start.

Dear, [ Salutation ].
President Trump, in giving Elon Musk the power to intervene in every agency of our government & its payment system, is defying the law & the Constitution. Only Congress has the power to establish & abolish federal agencies, only Congress has the power to regulate spending. The destruction of USAid disgraces our nation & is downright cruel in taking away without warning the basics victims of war & famine need to stay alive.
Mr. Musk was not elected by the American people, nor has his position been created by Congress, nor has his appointment been confirmed by the Senate—he hasn’t even been appointed by the President. He’s a private citizen with access to my personal information, including my Social Security number, and banking information!
You as elected officials who have sworn to uphold the Constitution of the United States must stand up to this illegal & destructive arrogation of power.
Respectfully, and with deep concern,
